12 days of Christmas blogging – Day 10 – Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse- movie review

Hello y’all! I can’t describe you hove much I looooveee this movie! I’ve watched it zillion times and even my non-Marvel friends know why I like it and what’s it about. So why shouldn’t I share my opinion with you? I can already see this post will take a lot time to translate…

1. In general

Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse is a 2018 movie made by Sony Pictures in association with Marvel. It won an Oscar for the best animated movie and many other rewards. It came to cinemas on Christmas day which I don’t really like because Christmas should not be about going to the movies, it should about Jesus’s birthday. Would you like everyone went to the cinema on your birthday and forgot about you? I don’t think so.

2. Animation style

I don’t actually get the whole animation thing but I am bright enough to see that these people made something special. They gave life to the comics with this animation style. I felt like I was reading the comic! I can’t say enough to describe you how wonderful that style is but other people can. Watch this video to see what I’m talking about.

3. Story

I won’t talk much about the story. A spoiler-free review.

Miles Morales is a New York teen struggling with school, friends and, on top of that, being the new Spider-Man. When he comes across Peter Parker, the erstwhile saviour of New York, in the multiverse, Miles must train to become the new protector of his city.

Tom Daly

In this movie it’s all about a leap of faith, building your self esteem, friendship, moving on… Every character has it’s own story and ending in the movie. I almost forgot the most important part of the movie. THE. MOST. IMPORTANT. PART.

Above all, no matter how many times you get hit, can you get back up?

That’s all for this part. Moving on…

4. Soundtrack

I’m listening to the soundtrack while I’m writing this post. Two of my favorite are Start a riot and Sunflower. I like the movie version of What’s up danger more because it has the evolution of Miles in it. Here’s another video which shows exactly what I think when I say soundtrack. There is one music segment that is slowly evolving along with Miles. There are so many details in this movie which, put together, make this movie even more amazing.

5. References

There are so many references in this movie that they are imposible to count. Multiple Stan Lee’s, numbers related to characters, director’s children’s names, comic references…

I cannot describe you how much I love this movie, you’ll just have to watch to believe me. Leave a like or a comment. Let me know if you watched this movie or if you would like to.
